The added value of Shenzhen's logistics industry will exceed 400 billion yuan next year

Recently, according to the "Promoting High Quality Development" series of themed press conferences held by the Shenzhen Municipal Government Information Office in Guangdong Province, this year the transportation department of Shenzhen will focus on five aspects to better and faster build a logistics center with global influence, striving to exceed 400 billion yuan in added value of the city's logistics industry by 2025, reach 3 million square meters of high standard warehouses in the city, and break through 30 billion level logistics supply chain enterprises in the city.

Cai Xin, Deputy Director of the Shenzhen Transportation Bureau, stated that Shenzhen will focus on new industrial growth points such as low altitude economy, intelligent networking, and smart logistics, and develop new quality productivity according to local conditions; Accelerate the integration and innovation of low altitude economy technology industry, and create new scenarios and formats for low altitude economy; Seize the strategic opportunities of industrial restructuring in the areas of electrification, unmanned, and platformization of automobiles, lay out innovative testing demonstrations and commercial operations, and create a demonstration of the development of intelligent connected vehicle transportation and distribution applications; Promote the pilot construction of green electrification, implement the new energy plan for vehicles in ports and airports, lay out the construction of a heavy-duty truck battery swapping network, and promote the green transformation of the logistics industry.

Focusing on reducing costs and improving quality and efficiency in the logistics industry, Shenzhen will launch 20 targeted measures to reduce logistics costs, optimize a series of funding policies in the modern logistics field, and increase funding quotas for aviation, shipping, railway, logistics and other fields; Fully utilize policy based financial instruments, leverage the role of shipping industry funds and low altitude economic industry funds, and increase financing support for the logistics industry; Appropriately increase the floor height limit of logistics and warehousing facilities, encourage "warehousing upstairs", and effectively reduce warehousing costs.

To enhance the level of shipping hub, Shenzhen will vigorously develop businesses such as water transfer, international full container transfer, and consolidation transfer, promote the "simultaneous improvement of container quantity and quality", and consolidate its position as a world-class container hub port; Strongly support port enterprises to layout inland ports and encourage them to add sea rail intermodal routes; Continuously expanding the coverage of the Guangdong Hong Kong Macao Greater Bay Area combined port and attracting Pearl River Delta cargo to transit through Shenzhen Port; Continuously expanding cross-border e-commerce sea freight express lines, we plan to add 6 new lines this year, bringing the total number to 30.
